Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you help women with cancers other than Breast Cancer?
Answer:Mommy Has Breast Cancer is a foundation created by Breast Cancer Survivors and it's what we are passionate about. We whole-heartedly support and participate in other activities like raising money to fund a cure, outreach, awareness and promoting the benefits of early detection. Breast Cancer is very near and dear to our hearts, our childrens hearts and the hearts of our significant others. Breast Cancer Patients are our focus.
Q: I don't live in Ohio, what are my options for support assistance?
Answer:Generally Education Materials and Food are Available in all 50 states. Those items don't depend on your geographic location. Vendors for Housekeeping, Childcare and Transportation are what we have difficulty without outside of this area. Please submit your request for help to us so that we can really understand where the need is greatest, and also have the data to support our quest for funding of Mommy Has Breast Cancer where you live.
Q: I already have a childcare provider that I Love. Can I use them while participating in your program?
Answer:Yes you may certainly use your current childcare provider while you are in treatment. We can work with your childcare provider to setup invoicing directly to us (up to the specified allowable monthly amount) or you can send us receipts for the allowed amount of reimbursement to help cover the cost.
Q: My initial 3-month enrollment period is up, but I haven't completed treatment yet. What can I do to get more help?
Answer:Quite often the demand for assistance far outweighs the supply of our generous funders so we unfortunately find that we have to find a good "balance" in the length of service we provide so that we don't have to turn others away who also need assistance too. If your 3-month limit has expired and you are not finished with treatment please contact our Program Director who will work with you to determine what additional support services we are able to offer to you.
